Going green is the coming trend right now. It is safe to say this because we can see it at so many different levels of society. Children are being taught the value of going green at schools, and in unlikely places such as movies and cartoon shows. They are told that doing simple things like recycling, turning off the water when brushing teeth, and shutting off lights when they leave the room is going to help save the environment. This is teaching children to go green at a young age. Going green is also a major trend for adults now. People are buying appliances that will save energy and have energy efficient levels. They might be doing this because it will save them money in the long run and not because it will help improve the environment, but people are still buying them. You can see this in the car industry as well where many more people are demanding cars that get good to great gas mileage. Hybrids and other formerly unpopular cars are increasing in demand at a very quick rate.

Businesses are getting into the going green movement as well. Most large companies give options where they no longer send bills on paper but electronically instead. Sure this saves them from spending a lot of money on paper and postage, but it also helps the environment. Construction companies are finding ways to make buildings more energy efficient saving fuel, electricity, and money for people.

Governments are also putting a much bigger effort on going green. Many states such as Iowa are putting a major effort into providing wind energy and other renewable sources. Many federal and state government buildings are doing what they can to become more efficient as well, and when you see people of all ages going green, you know it must be the coming trend.
