Renovation into Innovation for Habitat"

Lake Norman, NC – As the concept of Green Building sweeps the Southeast, one residential design specialist has been inspiring Green throughout her career and decided to put her money where her mouth was in her own Green home renovation. Her dream was to create the ultimate example of what Green could mean in comfort, style, efficiency, and for the environment. Since the groundbreaking in July of 2006, the once 1,200 s.f. lake cottage has been transformed into a 4,459 s.f. Green showplace in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina on Lake Norman. The home was completed in January of 2008, and was recently recognized at the USGBC and Charlotte Business Journal's inaugural Green Awards ceremony on April 16, 2008. Pippin was also recognized as Green Advocate of the Year and her business was recognized as Green For-Profit Business of the Year. 

 

Tickets for the Green Home tour event are $11.00 with all proceeds going to fund the Our Towns Habitat for Humanity 2009 'Women Build' home.
